Available to work unsociable hours, fees to be discussed.

Monday – Friday
8am to 8pm
Domestic Work – £17 per hour
Personal Care – £18 per hour
Minimum Charge – 1 Hour
Mileage charge 50p per mile

Personal Hygiene Care
Assisting with washing, showering and bed baths for the less independent.
Assisting with Prescribed Medication
Able to support clients with their current prescribed medication.
Housework
Washing dishes, Dusting, Hoovering, Laundry, Changing Beds, Ironing etc.
Companionship
Happy to engage in conversation, Activities, Encouraging and Supporting Hobbies.
Escorting to Appointments
Doctors, Hairdressers, Dentists etc. Within the immediate locality.
Accompanying Clients to go out
Shopping, Meeting Friends, Exercise, Nurseries, Cafes etc.
Preparing Meals
Happy to prepare meals in Client’s homes.
Delivering End of Life Care
With a wealth of experience with Marie Curie I am able to provide hands on care for all terminal illnesses in their own home, along with vital emotional support for their families. This helps to allow the family to make the most of their precious time.
COVID-19 Statement
I take all the necessary precautions to safeguard the client as well as myself. A mask, apron and gloves are worn at all times throughout the visit. Hygiene is extremely important in normal times and clearly even more so now. PPE, Hand Sanitiser and good practice are vital to ensure a safe working environment is maintained.

Helen Currie
My name is Helen Currie. I have 40 years’ experience delivering care. Starting in Nursing Homes at a young age I then progressed to a Hospital Ward based environment. I then gained a wealth of knowledge from 3 years pre-registration nursing training at Bournemouth University & Hospital. I have also worked in the community delivering care to support people to continue to live in their own homes.
Since moving to Cornwall I enjoyed working in Liskeard Hospital for a number of years. For the last 6 years I have had the privilege of working for Marie Curie as an HCA delivering specialised care for the terminally ill.
Working for myself now will enable me to completely tailor the needs of the client as required.
